Soundcraft GB2 32 Channel Mixing Console

The Soundcraft GB2 Series consoles represent the ultimate choice for medium and small sized venues in the classic 6 aux - four buss live sound console market. This classic design allows 4 independent pre-fade monitor mixes (enough for most small venues or touring artists) whilst still offering 2 post-fade auxes for effects proceesing. The 6 x 2 matrix section offers further output options for things such as stage sidefills, or audience front fills.

Each mixer in the GB2 Series offer 2 stereo channels in addition to the stated number of mono channels, so the GB2-32 is a genuine 32 channel mixer with 32 mono mic pre amp channels plus 2 stereo channels for playback/CD, etc.

Channel Configuration:

Each channel of the GB Series consoles feature the excellent high headroom GB30 pre-amps with 100hz filter and phase reverse. (Phase reverse is becoming more useful with mic techniqies such as dual snare miking, etc.) Each channel, naturally, has and insert point and a post-fade direct out, so the console can double as a recording desk. A 4 band semi parametric EQ is included on each mic channel for precise, musical control o signals. The aux section features 2 pre fade sends, 2 switchable pre/post sends and 2 post fade sends. Pan control and channel on/off switchesa are then provided. Finally, a smooth 100mm fader is provided alongside the sub-group/master routing switches. The stereo inputs can also be used as additional mono mic channels, bringing the mic-pre count on a 24 channel desk to 26. Four band fixed EQ is is provided on these channels.  

Master Section:

The comprehansive 4-buss master section features smooth 100mm faders, aux masters, 2 track return and a very useful 6x2 matrix section. Each matrix send allows a mix from the 4 subgroups plus the 2 masters to be sent out via a balanced output. This is really useful for additional monitors such as side fills, additional speaker clusters such as audience fills, etc, or perhaps for sends to a different room within an installed venue sound system.
